We had a great time on our field trip to Glencarin Gardens! The students participated in three different activities while at the park. The students viewed and made a map of the gardens finding key elements of the garden as they walked around. The students also got to visit the vegetable and children's garden. Students got to feel different types of plants, smell different plants, and even taste some leaves (mint). Students also got to see and touch various seeds and saw strawberries, carrots and lettuce growing. Finally, students talked with the presenters about the different types of soil. Students got to experience digging in the soil to see what they could find and took the temperature of the soil to see if it was warm enough for plants to grow. It was a fun day had by all!

On April 3rd, the Student Council showcased the Go Green Fair. During the Fair the Student Council presented ways in which we as a school community can go green. The students heard guest speakers from the recycling center, saw a presentation on a safer playground, viewed a puppet show, viewed an art gallery of recyclable art and signed a pledge to help make our school a greener place. Below are a view pictures from this event.
