Thanks to all the parents who joined us for Field Day. The kids had fun playing the various games and enjoying being outside for the majority of the day! One of the highlights was definitely winning the Tug of War. Below are some pictures and a video of the kids warming up.

I want to think from all the excitement and enthusiasm this was the students favorite day of the year! After about a month's worth of work, the students were finally able to present their books they wrote about Alex and Enzo to the Martinez brothers. With my guidance and the help of several other teachers in the building, the students interviewed, wrote and edited, illustrated and even published their books by typing their pages. It was a lot of hard work but with a lot of cooperation, creativity, and commitment, we were able to finally finish our stories and read them to Alex and Enzo. After reading the stories, the students were then able to go outside and see Alex and Enzo do some of their favorite tricks and actually play some soccer with the kids. It was great to see the students interact with Alex and Enzo, and I know this is something they will never forget! They even autographed a soccer ball for us to keep to use at recess! Check out some of the pictures and video clips of the students reading the books below!
We had a great time today on our field trip to Glencarin Gardens! Both classes had fun and we had some tired kids on our hands by the end of the trip! A big THANK YOU to all the parents/grandparents who went with us on our trip. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at the park, got to walk around and see the turtles and even a water snake, made a map of the garden, walked and looked at the plants in the children's garden and even got to dig in different types of soil. I think one of the students' favorite things by far were seeing all the worms and critters as they were digging in the soil. Enjoy some of our photos below! |
AuthorMy name is Erin Webb and I am going into my fourteenth year teaching. I taught kindergarten in Summerville, SC for one year before moving to Rock Hill after getting married. Since being in Rock Hill, I have been teaching first grade at Rosewood Elementary International School. This will be my sixth year teaching using the Dual Language Model. I will be team teaching with Monsieur Joseph McFadden. I am very excited about what the coming year has to offer! Archives
