Family Trust Credit Union came to speak to the students today about the importance of saving money and making good/wise choices with their money. The staff talked to the students about what a credit union is and what it's job is as well as talked to them about the three different ways you can earn or get money at such a young age (doing chores, getting some for your birthday, finding it). The students then got the chance to spend or save some "play money" as they shopped at the Webb Mart store. The students were told "the more you save now, the more you get later" before they shopped and throughout the presentation. Each of our students got the chance to shop and three of our students all saved 75 cents out of their dollar. These students not only got what they bought but several additional prizes as well. It was a great lesson to learn and the students thoroughly enjoyed it! Check out pictures below and our high savers: Brendan, Jayden and Ari!
