The students and I had lots of fun this week completing our pumpkin activities. The students were challenged to care for their "baby" pumpkins all week. It was great to see some of the students make little homes and beds to carry their pumpkins in so they would have a place to stay. On Friday, the students got to paint their pumpkins, name their pumpkin, measure them with paperclips and cubes and then discover whether or not they sank or floated in a tub of water. Students also created jack-o-lanterns and had to describe them using adjectives. Each class also made a class pumpkin for the Rosewood Pumpkin contest. Mrs. Webb and the Blue class made an owl based on the book Owl Moon and Madame Tyson and the Green Group made Madeline from the story Madeline. Enjoy our pictures below from all our activities this week.
